Meet Our Consultants
CONSULTANT: F.W. Gaunt FCII
Frank Gaunt has spent his career in the insurance and financial services industry with
a wide range of experience including underwriting, sales, planning, marketing, sales
management and more recently recruitment and training. In 1984 he formed Personnel
Consultancy Services to provide a more professional recruitment service to individuals and
organisations. In 1998 the name of the organisation was changed to Frank Gaunt Associates.

His early years were spent in Bradford in the Branch office of a major
composite insurer, initially in Fire and Accident underwriting, moving on to sales.
Obtained Associateship of The Chartered Insurance Institute.
The following four years were spent in sales development in the City of London before
moving into marketing and product development. During this period he qualified as a Fellow
of The Chartered Insurance Institute and became part-time Lecturer in Marketing and
Statistics at the City of London Polytechnic.

A three-year period in sales planning led to an appointment in Sales Management in the
Midlands where, in less than three years, an initial revenue of several millions was more
than doubled. He was then involved in planning and implementing a new life operation and
subsequently the recruitment and technical training of a life specialist sales force and
branch back-up resources.
SENIOR CONSULTANT: Alan Cheetham Chartered Insurance Practitioner, ACII, ASFA, MSI,
AIFP
Alan
Cheetham has spent his career in the insurance and financial services industry gaining a
wide range of experience including underwriting, sales, sales management, business
development, planning and training.
He
began work as a management trainee with one of the largest composite insurance companies
before joining one of the UKs major general insurance brokers. He has worked as a general insurance company
inspector, life and pensions broker consultant, direct sales representative, IFA, and in
private banking and wealth management. He
has also spoken at many financial planning seminars, acquiring a reputation as an
accomplished speaker and presenter.
More
recently, he has gained experience as a divisional director in the wealth management
division of a leading private bank, and has been a founding director of an IFA business
with a current turnover exceeding £1.5m per annum.
Alan
is professionally qualified, holds the ACII (general branch), subsequently obtaining the
ASFA; has experience as a pension transfer specialist, and also as Money Laundering
Reporting Officer. He currently serves as
chairman and vice-chairman on examination committees of the IAC (Investment Advice
Certificate) for The Securities Institute.
